VCSE State of the Sector Review

As promised, I attended the East Sussex VSCE Alliance “State of the Sector” workshop last week. Run by Helen and Becky from Ideas Alliance, we considered examples from our work or life that made a difference for a group or individual. We then considered the strengths and challenges of the current context for the sector, alongside our aspirations for the future.

There was a good mix of people attending, though it would have been great to see more. However, the reflections and knowledge were interesting and inciteful.

For me, personally, it reaffirms that building connections between people, organisations and ideas lies at the heart of any way forward. Evidenced by the examples people were sharing, and by their aspirations moving forward.

The aim of Connection Heals is to make connecting people, organisation and ideas explicit and central so that all can benefit from the dynamic change it can inspire.

It is not too late to participate in this review. The survey remains live until 1st August here: VCSE Survey

There will also be a further workshop in Hampden Park in September. For more details, visit the VCSE Alliance website
